Chemical Peel is an accelerated form of exfoliation induced by a chemical solution (AHA or TCA) to the skin. This solution damage and remove part of the skin in a controlled way, thus stimulates cell growth and production of collagen in the dermis. Acne, acne scars and pore size will be improved with this treatment, usually done in consecutive sessions spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart, for maximum effectiveness.
Pre/Post treatment
- Patient should stop using any AHA/BHA/Retin-A products at least 1 week prior to the peel
- There will be a downtime of 3 to 7 days after treatment. Skin will be red and peeling. Patient should follow Dr Phoebus Wong’s instruction on post treatment care.
- Sunscreen should be used at all times
